The Idaho Prosperity Project is a collaborative effort of the business community designed to help employers provide information about candidates, issues and elections to their employees. This non-partisan service is provided in cooperation with BIPAC, a national membership organization which assists thousands of employers and associations in increasing their public policy effectiveness.

Annual Conference
 

SAVE THE DATE for IACI's 2009 Conference 
June 14-16, 2009 at Coeur d'Alene Resort!

IACI's 35th Annual Conference is set for June 14 -16, 2009 at the beautiful Coeur d'Alene Resort in northern Idaho. The conference will have a public policy focus and will be attended by IACI members and state legislators. Panel discussions will be held on key public policy issues, new directors will be elected at the Annual Meeting, and keynote speakers are being finalized. Environmental Excellence Award
 

IACI was pleased to present the 2008 Environmental Excellence Award to Micron Technology. The purpose of the IACI Environmental Excellence Award program is to provide recognition to businesses who, through innovative environmental leadership and accomplishment, have achieved outstanding results in environmental protection and enhancement.

Micron is recognized for its remarkable innovation using cold river water from an existing aquifer recharge system to cool their deionized process water through a heat exchanger. Annually, the project provides energy savings of 6.6 million kilowatt hours, saves water consumption by 11.9 million gallons and CO2 greenhouse gas emissions by 1,664 tons. The Award was presented to Micron environmental engineers at the 2008 Annual Meeting on June 23, 2008 at Tamarack Resort. Click here for the full press release.

Pat K. Harwood Award Presented to Charlie Clark
 

The 16th Annual Pat K. Harwood Distinguished Service Award was posthumously awarded to Charles G. 'Charlie' Clark at IACI's 34th Annual Conference on June 23, 2008.  IACI Chairman Jim Schmit presented the award to Charlie's widow, Kathy Clark.  Charlie Clark had an outstanding career in government and public affairs for Union Pacific Railroad and in shaping Idaho's business climate, and was chosen for the award for his leadership, service, courage, sense of humor, political wisdom and integrity. The Pat K. Harwood Award is IACI's highest service honor. Click here for the full press release.
