Over the last several years the United States has been faced with numerous problems associated with energy production and utilization.  These include electrical grid blackouts, dramatic infrastructure outages and soaring fuel prices coupled with an increase in restrictions on available solutions.  This trend has the attention of industry and policy makers alike. 

IACI supports a comprehensive energy strategy that encourages energy efficiency and promotes the cost-effective and reliable production, transmission and delivery of energy to meet the state’s energy needs, which is essential to the long-term health of Idaho's economy and the prosperity of Idaho's businesses and citizens.

The issue of climate change is global.  While little is disputed that humanity is having an impact on the climate, there continues to be new research on the degree of impact stemming from human activity.  It is anticipated that much of the policy work will be completed on the federal and international level; however, those policy changes will have significant impacts on state policy.  In addition, IACI members are seeking more information regarding the potential impacts of such policy changes.  Listed below are some of the documents and links to resources regarding climate change.
