The Prosperity Project

The Idaho Prosperity Project is a collaborative effort of the business community designed to help employers provide information about candidates, issues and elections to their employees. This non-partisan service is provided in cooperation with BIPAC, a national membership organization which assists thousands of employers and associations in increasing their public policy effectiveness.

Annual Conference

IACI's 35th Anniversary Celebration and Conference took place at the beautiful Coeur d'Alene Resort in northern Idaho on June 14-16!  It was a full agenda, including an anniversary reception with special guest Congressman Walt Minnick, informative presentations by Bob Moore of Moore Information on public opinion in Idaho, Primary Health CEO Elwood Kleaver and Business Psychology Associates President Sarah Woodley on Health Care Mandates, and Michael Bogert, Esq. on Climate Change mandates. 

IACI held its annual meeting, presenting its annual Environmental Excellence Award and Pat K. Harwood Award, as well as approving a slate of directors for new terms and its 2010 Public Policy Priorities. Members and state legislators were provided with excellent keynote addresses by both Governor C.L. 'Butch' Otter and Lt. Governor Brad Little.  The conference concluded with a golf tournament in beautiful summer weather.  Stay tuned for a full conference summary next week!

 
2009 IACI Legislative Agenda

IACI has outlined an ambitious legislative plan.  Our Legislative Committee has been working since early January on issues facing our state.  Idaho has joined the rest of the country in struggling to deal with the economic crisis that has gripped nearly every sector of our economy.  We have heard many people talk about “when we come out of this recession,” as if it is some kind of foregone conclusion that times will eventually be better.  In some respects, the inevitability of a recovery will occur, but how will Idaho fare in the future?  That is something we in the business community cannot leave to chance.  Read more...
